Marek Różycki

Managing partner, Last Mile Experts

Marek Różycki is an entrepreneurial leader and former European CEO with more than three decades of international experience across logistics, eCommerce and last mile delivery. He has built, scaled and led high performing organisations across multiple markets, combining strategic vision with deep operational understanding, and is widely recognised for creating strong teams and trusted industry networks.

He holds a degree in banking and finance from the University of Birmingham and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in the United Kingdom.

Marek began his last mile journey in 1990 as financial controller in the founding team of DHL in Poland. He later founded Masterlink Express, which grew into a domestic market leader and is today known as DPD Polska. Following its acquisition by Groupe La Poste, owner of DPD, he was appointed CEO for Central and South Eastern Europe, with responsibility for sixteen countries.

He subsequently joined Amazon as part of the founding leadership team of Amazon Logistics in Europe, serving as Vice President Europe until 2015. During this period, he played a key role in developing and scaling Amazon Flex and Amazon Fresh, helping shape some of the most influential delivery models in modern commerce.

After leaving Amazon, Marek founded Last Mile Experts, a specialist advisory firm focused on last mile strategy, operating models and out of home delivery. Under his leadership, the firm has delivered a number of landmark projects, including advisory work on the acquisition of InPost, widely regarded as one of the most successful transactions in the logistics sector of the past decade.

Today, Marek is considered one of the leading global experts in out of home delivery. He has advised organisations including InPost, eMAG Sameday Courier, Trendyol Alibaba, Nova Post, Bloq it, DPD and Post Nord. He currently serves as Managing Partner at Last Mile Experts.

Tim Werkhoven

He’s a seasoned international Government and Public Affairs leader with over 18 years political know-how in many geographies (China, USA, UK and EU), promoting and advocating sound policy development in various sectors such as transport & communication (Royal Mail PLC), manufacturing (British American Tobacco PLC), retail (Tesco PLC) and financial services.

He holds master's degrees in public administration (Rotterdam University) and Business Administration (WU Vienna). In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and developing digital applications that analyse public policy.

Camila Castro

Camila leads initiatives for decarbonisation and value creation through sustainable sourcing and the implementation of circular flows along the value chain. With over a decade of international experience, including significant work in China where she started her career in packaging and led initiatives to reduce single-use plastics in eCommerce, alongside roles in France, India, Colombia, and the USA, she holds a Masters in International Business and specialised in Circular Economies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her main drivers are her passion for tackling complex problems and advancing sustainable development.

He is also listed as the inventor on DHL’s Packstation parcel locker system and is currently Co-Founder & CEO of Smarcel - Innovative Robot Delivery GmbH, focused on automating last-mile delivery.

Adam Tomczak

Group Head of International Delivery & Solutions Development, Allegro

Adam Tomczak leads international delivery strategy, global carrier networks, and cross-border solutions for Allegro. He is also a Board Member at One Customs, an AEO customs broker in the Allegro group. Previously, he served as Group Head of Sales and Product Development for the "One by Allegro" logistics brand across Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. He was the founder and President of X-press Couriers, scaling the company to a successful exit to Allegro in 2021. His background includes roles as the architect of the SkyReturns global platform and European Business Development Director at Skynet Worldwide Express. He holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota / Warsaw School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.

Oliver Betzer, 58 years old, living close to Düsseldorf, Germany is an experienced commercial leader with a strong track record in the packaging machinery industry and intralogistics, specializing in international sales, key account management, and business development. He has held senior leadership roles across global markets, driving the expansion, restructuring, and performance improvement of sales and service organizations. His expertise includes managing complex technical solutions (food packaging systems), and packaging automation systems. Today, at CMC, he focuses on growing market presence in packaging automation through strategic customer engagement and technology‑driven solutions.

Joachim Quoden

Managing Director, EXPRA

Joachim Quoden has been involved in packaging waste management since 1992, beginning with four months at the German Federal Ministry of Environment working on packaging issues including the Packaging Ordinance and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

From 1993 to 2006, Mr Quoden worked at Der Grüne Punkt as Syndicus and later became head of International Affairs in 2001. Between 2001 and 2013, he served as Secretary General and subsequently Managing Director of PRO EUROPE, an umbrella organisation representing 35 Producer Responsibility Organisations (PROs).

Since 2013, Mr Quoden has held the position of Managing Director at EXPRA, an alliance of 38 non-profit and industry-owned PROs from 35 countries worldwide including 21 EU Member States.

In addition, Mr Quoden has worked as an independent lawyer in Germany specialising in international EPR legislation since 1995, serves as chairperson of ISWA’s EU group, and has contributed as an expert to the ISO global standardisation project SIS/TK 165/AG 10 Packaging and Environment. He has also taken on leadership roles such as (co-)chair of ISWA’s Governance Working Group and the EU Group, member of the OECD EPR expert group, and participant in several other value chain initiatives including CEFLEX, HolyGrail 2.0, Close the Glass Loop, and 4EverGreen.

Thais Blumer

Head of Robotics Delivery and Sustainable Packaging, Amazon

Thais Blumer is the Head of Robotics Delivery and Sustainable Packaging at Amazon. Thais is passionate about creating and implementing packaging that benefits customers at scale, and she is a firm believer that collaboration is the key for disruptive innovation.

Thais has worked in Amazon’s European Customer Fulfilment organisation for nine years and recently expanded her responsibilities to global. During her tenure, Amazon has decreased the average per-shipment packaging weight by 48%, which represents more than 3 million metric tons of packaging materials avoided. She led the team that phased out single-use plastic delivery bags for Amazon Fulfilment Centres across Europe, replacing them with easily recyclable cardboard envelopes and paper bags. 

Prior joining Amazon, Thais was a responsible for designing and deploying deploying pack automation solutions in the FMCG industry. She has lead process improvement and capacity growth programmes focused on maximising operational benefits by harmonising machine and packaging material performance. Thais has also worked as an engineer, and she holds a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering.
